University of Alberta Graduate Scholarship Details:
Alexa Ferdinands, PhD, RD, Assistant Professor, Faculty of Agricultural, Life and Environmental Sci – Ag, Food & Nutri Sci Dept, is recruiting a graduate student (MSc or PhD) to join my lab at the University of Alberta.
The student will support a qualitative, community-engaged project focusing on food literacy among youth in Edmonton, exploring how youth understand health and nutrition, make food choices, and navigate their food environments.
This funded position provides an excellent opportunity for students interested in public health nutrition, qualitative methods, and community-engaged research.

To be considered for the University of Alberta Scholarship, you must;
- A completed Bachelor’s/Master’s of Science degree in a relevant field.
- Keen interest in, and/or experience (research, industrial) in food literacy among youths.
- Proven ability to work independently and as a team player, with strong problem-solving skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
